Brazil nuts are rich in vitamin E and selenium. Both nutrients help to prevent and inhibit cataracts. A cataract is a clouding of the lens inside the eye which leads to a decrease in vision. It is the most common cause of blindness and is conventionally treated with surgery. Now selenium is a mineral found in the composition of the eye. So eating the mineral or foods that have the mineral will help rebuild and maintain the layers of one’s eye.
